Privacy Policy

DocClear is a document analysis tool. You upload a document, we send it to an AI model for analysis, and we return a plain-language summary. That is the entire product.

Documents are not saved on our servers. When you upload a file, it is sent directly to Anthropic's API for analysis and then discarded. We do not save your files to any database or file storage. The analysis result is returned to your browser and, if you choose, temporarily cached in our server memory for up to 5 minutes to support retries — then it is gone.

We never read your documents for any purpose other than producing the analysis you requested. We do not train models on your documents.

Recent results in your browser. DocClear saves your last 5 analysis results in your browser's local storage so you can re-open them without re-uploading. These results stay only on your device — they are never sent to our servers. You can clear them at any time using the "Clear all" button on the home page.

DocClear uses Vercel Analytics, which is privacy-first: it does not use cookies, does not collect personal identifiers, and does not track you across sites. It counts page views and aggregated usage patterns (e.g. which document types are uploaded, which languages are used) so we can understand what is working. No individual user is tracked.

If you choose to set a deadline reminder, we collect your email address and the deadline date for the sole purpose of sending that one reminder. We do not send marketing emails. We do not share your email with third parties. Reminder records are deleted after the reminder is sent.

If you use DocClear through our Telegram or WhatsApp bot, your messages are processed through those platforms' own infrastructure. We receive the document content you send and process it the same way as web uploads — analyzed and not stored. Your Telegram or WhatsApp account information is not retained by DocClear.

DocClear uses the following third-party services:

• Anthropic — AI analysis of document content. Subject to Anthropic's Privacy Policy.
• Vercel — Hosting and infrastructure. Subject to Vercel's Privacy Policy.
• Upstash — Redis-based temporary caching for retry handling. Data expires within hours.

Because we do not store personal data linked to your identity, there is generally nothing for us to retrieve or delete. If you set a reminder and want it canceled, email us at hello@docclear.app before the reminder is sent.
